Kima Frenning has given a unique insight into what its like to sit in the sulky behind some of the hottest property in Australasian trots, Ride High.
The talented reinswoman joined Trots Talk this week to reflect on the Clayton Tonkin-trained five-year-olds stunning return to racing, when in consecutive runs at Tabcorp Park Melton he obliterated rivals and posted extraordinary times.
"The feel he gives you is just crazy," Frenning said. "I haven't asked him to go yet, I just give his head a tiny little bit and off he goes.
"The way he does it is so fascinating, because you go 29 (second) quarters and it feels like you go 33 (second) quarters, because he just does it so easily. When you let him rip and he rips off a 52 or 53 (second) last half it's just insane. I've never felt anything like that.
"He's just a complete racehorse. He's got the speed, he's strong, the way he covers ground is insane. He's really well gaited."
