Charlottetown, PE – IDK, under the command of harness racing catch-driver Danny MacDonald, won the Thursday night feature at Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
MacDonald put the Gary Poulton trainee on the point from post 6 and cruised through fractions of 28.2, 1:00.1, 1:30.2 to stop the timer in 1:58.4. Lyndale Royal (Marc Campbell) was second while First Art Down (Ken Murphy) was third. The 6-4-1 triactor paid $69.10. The son of Stand Forever is owned by Gail MacDonald of Charlottetown.
Howmacs Pride won the evening trot division in 2:03.2 for driver Kenny Arsenault and owners Wade Peconi, Stanchel and Howmac Farms Ltd, North Wilshire.
The fastest mile of the night came in the Best Western Pace when Whosurwinner turned on the jets to win in deep stretch tripping the timer in 1:57.4. Corey MacPherson was in the bike for owner Ron Gass, Cornwall and trainer Deanna Clow.
MacPherson and Gary Chappell recorded driving doubles on the program.
