April 18, 2017 – Bold Eagle will likely be back in harness racing action Saturday at Enghien in the Gr. I International Prix de l’Atlantique.
Over 30 horses have been initially engaged (final draw Wednesday) for the €200,000 purse event contested over 2150 meters autostart.
Bold Eagle last completed the Triple Crown victory in France two months ago, the first such accomplishment in 41 years.
Now, after a brief time in the breeding shed, he will prepare for the Elitloppet at end of May at Solvalla SWE, which would be his first effort at a mile distance and in a multiple heat affair.
That said, the €3,103,500 winning Bold Eagle, would likely face many of the world’s best trotters on Saturday with 11 possible starters having career earnings in excess of €1 million and another three over €900,000.
