Elladora De Forgan (on extreme outside) wins the 240,000€ monte Gr. I Prix des Elites

A fine Sunday card was on stage at Paris-Vincennes and it began with the Prix du Cap Vert (monte, purse 50,000€, 2175 meters, 10 starters).

The 5/10 favorite Crossfire (6g Prince de Charme-Katiana) scored for Yoann Lebourgeois and trainer Stephanie Lepetit timed in 1.13.1kr. Armand Turguet-Lepreux owns the 10 time career winner of 126,150€ and today’s impressive score was his eighth straight in 2018. 2.2/1 Cyrano du Port and 41/1 Crazy Look watched the winner perform from a distance.

The Quinte+ event this day was named the Grand Prix du Portugal (purse 50,000€, 2100 meters, 17 starters). Biniou de Connee (7g No Ho Ped d’Ombree-Kana d’Olaine) scored for Alexandre Abrivard timed in 1.11.4kr. The winning owner/trainer is Christophe Mallet of this 4.2/1 third wagering choice.

The 4/1 As de Godisson (8g Gai Brillant) was a distant second for Matthieu Abrivard and 8.7/1 Be Bop Meslois (7g Rocklyn) took third with Eric Raffin up. The 2.2/1 Bise de Coglais and 31.1 Busy Money Ringeat completed the top five and the exact order 2€ wager returned 6,943.60€.

An interesting development took place in the Prix Radio Alfa (purse 70,000€, 2100 meters autostart, 12 European starters) as 2.1/1 odds Ranch Kelly (10f Tsar d’Inverne-Gabriela Kemp-Speedy Somolli) scored in a quick 1.10.1kr for Hannu Torvinen, trainer Jean Baudron and owner Kelly’s Team of Finland. Ranch Kelly made her first appearance a winning one and increased her career earnings to 452,154€.

The 9/1 Ange de Lune (8g Laetenter Diem) and 3/1 Sharon Gar (7f Varenne) completed the top three. The winner’s pedigree inspires some grand memories as the maternal family is that of Spinster Hanover and her daughter Pompanette. That’s the family of the magical Magician, a winner of US$3.5 million, plus Speedy Spin, Netted, Filet Of Sole, Crevette, Piggvar, King Of The Sea and Lifetime Chance.

The afternoon’s featured event was the monte Gr. I Prix des Elites (purse 240,000€, 2200 meters, nine starters) with victory to the wide rallying and  6/1 odds Elladora de Forgan (4f Gazouillis-Hemina) for jockey Franck Nivard, trainer Franck Leblanc and owner S.J. Dupont.

This mare recorded her sixth career win in 23 starts now for 560,070€ earned. The 3.8/1 Philippe Allaire trainee Feeling Cash (3m Ready Cash-Royale Star) was second for Yoann Lebourgeois and owner Carlos Lerner. 24/1 Dynasty Pierji (5f Prodigious) was third for owner/trainer/jockey Damien Bonne.17/1 Exotica de Retz (4f Prodigious) and  2.6/1 Ferreteria (3f Goetmals Wood) completed the top five with 1.8/1 favorite Fado du Chene (3m Singalo) home sixth.

On Friday Paris-Vincennes hosted its evening card that included two interesting races. The Prix de la Confederation de Vil de Mar (purse 65,000€, 2850 meters, 11 four year olds) saw 3.9/1 Electra Jet (4f Ready Cash-Olivia Jet) score timed in 1.14.1kr for trainer/driver Pierre Vercruysse and owner Ecurie d’As. Jean Etienne Dubois bred this four time winner (two of the last three) now of 167,510€earned.

The 17/1 Extra Light (4f Village Mystic) was second for David Thomain and 6.7/1 Enska (4f Coktail Jet) was third for Franck Ouvrie.

The Friday Quinte+ was the Prix de la Ville de Fontenay Sous Bois (purse 44,000€, 2850 meters, 18 starters) at Vincennes. Charly de l’Aunay (6g Qualimo de Vandel-Fleur Viniex) scored in 1.14kr for owner/trainer/driver L.M. David.

This winner record his 14th career victory in 45 starts now for 197,690€ earned. Best Match (7g Ready Cash) was second at 6.7/1 and 2.8/1 Bonefish Life (g Quatre Juillet) was third. The 34/1 odds Caliu des Bose and 19/1 Brandeis Jet completed the top five, producing an exact order payoff of 3,194.40 for the 2€ wager.
