Fort Galaa beats a wall of horses to the finish at Englhien

Enghien-Soisy hosted two excellent race days this week. On October 10 the Prix de la Porte de la Chapelle (purse 43,000€, 2150 meters autostart, 10 starters) saw 2.8/1 odds Fort Galaa (3g Rieussac-Lacita) score in 1.14.5kr with Yoann Lebourgeois up.

The 41/1 Forban (3m Niky) took second for Pierre Vercruysse ahead of 49/1 Fragonard Delo (3m Akim du Cap Vert) handled by Gabriele Gelormini.

On October 10 the featured Prix de la Porte de Saint-Marde (purse 44,000€, 2875 meters, 16 starters) went to 1.15.4kr timed and 6.7/1 odds Equateur Mauzon (4m Ready Cash-Strawinsca Mauzin) that Pierre Vercruysse trains and drove for owner Cte. Paul de Senneville.

This winner scored for the fifth time in a 15 start career that increased his earnings to 79,190€. 2.6/1 favorite Exayre (4g Uaukir) was second ahead of 131/1 Eddy des Mulottes (4m Halimede).

Undefeated 1.2/1 favorite Florence Bourbon (3f Ready Cash-Urgentissime) recorded her fourth straight timed in 1.15.9kr with trainer Sebastien Guarato aboard. Her earnings are now 49,500€.

The race was the Prix du Chateau D’eau (purse 43,000€, 2150 meters autostart, 13 starters) and the winning owner was breeder Ecurie du Haras de Saint Martin. 9/1 Fee de Lunojo (3f Lontzac) was second for Franck Nivard and 26/1 Fayette (3f Voltigeur de Myrt) took third money with Franck Ouvrie driving.

The Prix de la Porte de Chatillon (purse 38,000€, 2150 meters autostart, 13 starters) saw 1.8/1 favorite Fabulous Jet (3m Coktail Jet-Rebecca Jet) score timed in 1.16.1kr. Pierre Vercruysse teamed the Vincent Martens trainee that Ecurie Meydan owns.

The 13/1 Fabuleux Destin (3g Uniclove) held second for owner/trainer/driver Gabriel Angel Pou Pou. Third went to 7.2/1 Fripou des Sables (3m Look de Star) with J.Ph. Monclin aboard.

The October 10th Quinte+ at Lyon-Parilly was the Prix de Vendee (purse 35,000€, 2850 meters, 16 European starters)/ The 3.8/1 odds third choice Super Fez (7m Love You-Lucia Fi) scored for Gabriele Gelormini, Scuderia Cumana and trainer Gennaro Casillo.

Race time was 1.14.8kr as the impressive winner defeated 3.2/1 Visitor (9m Capriccio) and 5.6/1 Baronne de Bapne (7f Prodigious). 2.7/1 Big Boss and 50/1 Running Allmar (8m Ganymede-Hialeah Hanover) completed the top five with the exact order payoff amounting to 1,304€ for the 2€ wager.

On October 12th at Paris-Vincennes are a superb lineup of top flight races including the Gr. III Prix Gordonia, Q+ Prix Hera, European Championships for three, four and five year olds and the Prix Bohemia. The feature race entries follow.

On October 14th at Hamburg Germany there will also be a great racing program led by the 150,000€ Grossier Preis Von Deutschland.

The program also includes the Gr. III Lord Pit for 30,000€, Gr. III Dein Markt Cup (30,000€ purse), the 30,000€ Bark FFA and the Gr. III Deutschland Cup (50,000€). Many of the better horses and drivers from throughout Europe will be on site for one of Germany’s biggest race days.
