September 25, 2015 – The first two sessions of the Kriterie Yearling Sale in Sweden have been completed.
A total of 482 yearlings were catalogued.
The final session is Saturday.
The initial session on Thursday was labeled a select session and its 122 catalogued yearlings resulted in 89 sold for an average in US dollars of $18,431.
Trainer Roger Wallmann being the leading buyer and the top priced yearling sold was a Muscle Hill filly for $78,369, she from the Viking Kronos-Lovely Godiva mare Illustre November. Lovely Godiva was a winner of over $1.4 million and victorious in classic races from aged two through seven. At age seven she won the Prix de France and at age nine she was second in the Prix de Belgique, Prix de Paris and Prix d’Amerique.
The second session on Friday showed 156 sold from 230 catalogued with an average in US dollars of $8,080.
The results sale to-date show an average of $11,840.
