Invaders from Italy and Sweden prevailed in today’s Quinte+ Prix de l’Opera at Enghien, France.
The 3.9/1 Orient Horse (8m Abano As-Irma del Rio) scored for Italy’s Mme. S. Bruni, trainer Thomas Levesque and pilot Pierre Levesque clocked in 1.12.5kr over the 2150 meter autostart course.
16 European horses contested this €58,000 purse event. 3/2 odds favorite Tell Me No Lies (7g Offshore Dream-B.Glorious) from Sweden was second with J-M Bazire teaming for KLV Holding AB and trainer Fabrice Souloy.
Another Souloy trainee, 15/1 Arazi Boko (9g Varenne-Laura Kemp) from Sweden, landed third with Sebastian Ernault driving the Ecurie Pirat owned veteran. 9.5/1 Pioneer Gar (7m Varenne-Follia) was fourth with Pietro Gubellini driving for Scuderia Super Chico SAS and trainer Johanna Lindqvist.
