Csak a szel (2f Ken Warkentin-Nana-Tony Oaks) took today’s Janos Szaky Memorial (purse 1,100,000HUf, 1800 meters repulostart) at Kincsem Park.
Due to heavy rain and a heavy racetrack the harness racing starting gate was not used. The winner was away third before making a three wide move in the final lap to gain the front draw off. Trainer Imre Fazekas was the driver for owner C’est la Guerre that also campaigned the mare Nana to many fast-class wins. Race time was 1.25.4kr, well off the 1.20.6kr stake record set in 2017 by Zeal di Girifalco.
The victory by driver Fazekas followed his driving wins in 2016, 2018 and 2019 in this race. Those wins were teamed with Villam Ville, Aurom Ville and Bazsiville. .Csak a szel
