DOVER, Del. —- Dover Downs closes its 2014-2015 with a powerful 15 race harness racing card highlighted by a $100,000 Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) Three-Year-Old Male Pace and $32,500 Preferred/Handicap Pace.
Going for $100,000 in the DSBF Final: Mike White's Sonofa Sissle, and Vic Kirby a winner of his two preliminary legs, takes on Howard Taylor's Smoking Joe with Corey Callahan, Scott Woogen's homebred KJ Ben and Tim Tetrick and Roddy's Hot Again, piloted by George Dennis who owns the gelding with his wife Tina and ASK W Stable, the other prelim winners.
David Hamm's Byby Landon with Tony Morgan drew the rail with Art Season, driven by Brett Miller for Legacy Racing, Sharon White and Nanticoke Racing, alongside. The other contenders are Garnet O'Marrow's Seboomook Katahdin with Allan Davis and Don Marine's Rigged To Go handled by Jonathan Roberts.
In the $32,500 Preferred/Handicap, Bandolito, winner of his last two feature races, leaves from post 6 for trainer-driver Daryl Bier with Frank Chick's sharp Jebswesternshake (Dennis) to his inside. Janet Hudson's Just A Jolt (Kirby) finished third last week but was beaten only by two noses. Howard Taylor's Handsome Henry K (Callahan), Full Of Sand (Roberts) racing for Brit Evans and Foulk Stables and Beavercreek Artist (Art Stafford Jr.) from the rail for Ken Wood, Bill Dittmar and Steve Iaquinta complete the fast field.
During the program, the Leading Driver, Leading Trainer and Horse of the Meet presentations will be made.
