NDERSON, Ind.—August 12, 2020—With no winners in the Pick-4 sequence on Wednesday, August 12, a $5,493.69 carryover will jump-start a $20,000 Pick-4 guaranteed pool at Harrah’s Hoosier Park Racing & Casino on Thursday, August 13. In partnership with the Indiana Standardbred Association and the United States Trotting Association Strategic Wagering program, Harrah’s Hoosier Park will offer the guaranteed sequence for races three through six on Thursday.
Wednesday’s Pick-4 saw three of the four winners pay double digits to win, most significantly by race five’s Shpillkeys, whom Ricky Macomber Jr. drove to a 32-1 victory. Macomber also capped off the sequence with Candy’s Desire paying $25.00 to win.
In addition to the Guaranteed Pick-4 Pool, the evening’s 12-race card will feature a $10,000 Guaranteed Hoosier High-5 Pool on the final race of the evening. Thursday’s action-packed card will be a precursor to Friday, August 14, as Harrah’s Hoosier Park hosts the $225,000 Dan Patch Stakes. A field of ten top older pacers has been assembled for the 27th edition of the Dan Patch Stakes.
Free past performances for Thursday’s 12-race card will be available on Harrah’s Hoosier Park’s website along with free past performances for races three through six on the United States Trotting Association website. Expert selections and handicapping tools are also available on Hoosier Park’s website and The United States Trotting Association’s website. The 12-race card will also include the $10,000 Guaranteed Hoosier High-5 in the fourteenth race of the program. Free past performances for the nightly pentefecta are available on Harrah’s Hoosier Park’s website as well.
The 2020 live racing season at Harrah’s Hoosier Park will follow a Tuesday through Saturday schedule throughout the season. The season will be highlighted by the return of the Breeders Crown Friday, October 30 and Saturday, October 31. With a daily post time of 6:30 pm, live racing will be conducted through November 21.
