Terror To Love - is looking to get one back on Quinny

The man they call 'Mr Inter Dominion' Brian Hancock believes New Zealand harness racing star Terror To Love is the horse to beat in Sunday's Inter Dominion Grand Final and if he could pick a horse to drive in the final it would be the dual New Zealand Cup winner.

Hancock has won six Inter Dominion finals as a trainer including three straight with Our Sir Vancelot and believes the 3000 metre distance will play a key role in Sunday’s result.

“If I was given the opportunity to drive any horse in the final I would pick Terror To Love just in front of Im Themightyquinn because I don’t think there is very much between them,” Hancock said.

“Terror To Love is coming back to Menangle for the second time after being in Sydney for the 2011 Miracle Mile and from what I have seen of him recently he is a much more complete package now, he is exceptionally fast but can still do work in his races to put himself in the winning position.”

Hancock won his last Inter Dominion in 1999, a race that was run over 3200 at New Zealand’s Alexandra Park.

“When Our Sir Vancelot won the third of his Inter Dominions it was over the two miles and after I found the front I was able to get a big breather, we walked through the first mile but I can’t see that happening this weekend so it will all come down to patience and who shows the most.”

“Im Themightyquinn is the fastest horse in the race and if he follows the right horse and gets carried to the top of the straight he is going to be hard to stop but Terror To Love can make his own luck and might be too far in front of him, it is going to be one hell of a race.”

As an Inter Dominion Ambassador Hancock will be attending Sunday’s meeting and is hoping the weather will be kind.

“The forecast for Sunday earlier in the week wasn’t too flash but I hope it is a nice day because the race has been well promoted and there should be plenty of people there to watch.”
