Cullinator was an upset winner in Northfield Park’s seventh race on Tuesday (October 15). Peter Kass of Mentor, Ohio owns and trains the sophomore gelding and Jason Thompson drove him to victory.
Cullinator (Christian Cullen-Midnight Stage-No Nukes) started from post seven and kicked from the back to win by 1 ¼-lengths in 2:00.1. Friday’s victory was the first career win in 16 starts for Cullinator, who now has career earnings of $4,234.
(7) Cullinator (110-1) was followed across the wire by (6) So Gung Ho (2-1), (4) Princes Morgan (53-1) and (2) Southern Care (2-1).
Cullinator returned $223.60 to win; the 7-6 Exacta paid $1,518.20; the 7-6-4 $1.00 Trifecta returned $20,582.30 and the 7-6-4-2 10-cent Superfecta paid $12,015.96.

Northfield Park is announcing the addition of a $30,000 Pick-5 total pool guarantee to Wednesday’s (October 16) program.
Beginning in Race 3, the $30,000 Pick-5 guaranteed total pool includes a carryover of $7,075.96.
Northfield’s Pick 5, Pick 4 and the Pick 3’s offer a reduced takeout rate of just 14 percent.
