51 two-year-olds qualify at The Meadows

A total of 51 harness racing freshmen trotters and pacers went behind the gate in seven 2-year-old qualifying races.

The fastest pacing mile of the day was turned in by the Somebeachsomewhere colt Somestarsomewhere, trained by Ron Burke and driven by Dave Palone. The newcomer covered the mile in 1:56.2 after reaching the half in 1:00.2 and the 3/4 in 1:29.

Stucklikeglue, by Dragon Again, turned in a 1:59.4 win for the Burke Stable and driver Mike Wilder, the fastest mile by a pacing filly.

Ravenclaw, a gelded son of Donato Hanover, was the day's fastest trotter, winning in 2:00.4 off a 1:02.1 half for trainer/driver Steve Schoeffel.

The top trotting filly of the day was another Burke entrant, Outsourced Hanover, also by Donato Hanover. She trotted her mile in 2:01.2.
