DAYTON, OH. - Dancin Yankee, one of the best Ohio-sired horses ever, triumphed for the 79th time in his illustrious career on Saturday (Oct. 5) at Hollywood Dayton Raceway in a $12,000 top condition event.

The 11-year-old son of Yankee Cruiser, now just $11,000 shy of $2 million in earnings, scored in 1:50.2 for driver Tyler Smith and trainer Ron Burke over Town Icon (Brett Miller) and Feelnlikearockstar (Trevor Smith).

The win was won of four on the card for Tyler Smith. He also guided winners Starlight AS (1:56, $11.80), Letitrock (1:51, $6.80) and Jigtime Jones (1:51, $7.00) to impressive scores. Not to be outdone, drivers Kayne Kauffman and Jeremy Smith also notched "grand slams" on the 14 race program.

Kauffman won three straight from races two through four with Prince Bayard (1:52, $20.60), Rainbow Design (1:55.1, $7.00) and Sesame (1:55, $17.20) then tacked on his fourth with 12-1 longshot True To Mach (1:52.4) in the thirteenth.
