The Associates Stake, the final leg of the Maywood Park Pacing Series, will be raced on Friday night (November 18).
Along with the winner’s share of the $35,000 purse, the $20,000 bonus awarded to the ICF horse with the most points earned in the three legs of the series is still up for grabs.
Live Out Loud will go into the state bred stake with 58 points earned for co-owners M&M Harness Racing and trainer Dave McCaffrey, 50 for winning the July 7 first leg Cook County Stake in front-end fashion in 1:52.3, and 8 more for his fourth place finish in the August 25 Egyptian Stake.
In less than three seasons of racing Live Out Loud has amassed $402,447 in earnings. Among the 21 victories in 64 lifetime starts for the 4-Year-Old son of Art’s Conquest was a sweep of the Aquarius Series at The Meadowlands last February and a victory in a division of our Abe Lincoln stake in his freshman season.
Go Warrior Go earned 50 points with his come from behind triumph (1:52.1) in The Egyptian for the Darcy Pletcher Stable. A nine-timer season winner, he’s earned $156,866 in 2005 for his Howe, IN owners Par II.
Multiple former series champion Taser Gun also has 50 points for finishing second in each of the first two series legs. Now 10-Years-Old, Taser Gun won the Maywood Pacing Series outright in 1998, 1999, and 2000 and shared the title in 2043 with Constant Change.
Taser Gun has won 142 races in his brilliant career for Cunningham Racing of Medora, IL. The Robert Walker trained star pacer will bring a career bankroll of 1,142,939 into Friday evening’s Associates stake.
