The 2014 Elitauktion yearling sale in Sweden was completed tonight with 74 head sold from 90 cataloged. Total proceeds in USD was $1,747,087, an average of $23,609 at today's conversion rate.

The top five that were hammered down at auction, all colts, were sired by Conway Hall (2), S.J.'s Caviar, Ready Cash and Yankee Glide. Maharajah offspring did not hit the toppers. USA trainer Jimmy Takter signed for hip 81, a Pastor Stephen filly from Sculturesque by Muscles Yankee. Second dam of that one is Head Hunter by Bonefish, she the dam of Bosphorous, a career winner of nearly four million SEK.

The sale topper was Bourbon Rain, a March 30, 2013 colt by Conway Hall from Affinity by Victory Dream, she the dam of Photo Maxx (USD 591,342) by S.J.'s Photo, Hard Livin (SEK 4,992,570) by S.J.'s Caviar and the three year-old colt in 2013 Tumble Dust by Crazed. Tumble Dust has earned SEK 1,719,799 with 11 on the board finishes in 15 starts. Affinity, a $100,000 yearling at Kentucky Standardbred, is from Dormitory (Speedy Crown-Panty Raid) and the maternal family that produced Giant Victory, Bonefish, Uconn Don, Tagliabue, Elusive Desire and others. Fantastic!!! Consignor was Stuteri Dust.
