This Friday sees the first night of harness racing for 2014 at Addington, and heralds the new breeders’ bonus scheme for members of the New Zealand Standardbred Breeders’ Association

(NZSBA) for races staged by the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club (NZMTC).  Breeders have long been asking for bonuses, and both the NZSBA and NZMTC are pleased to be able
to respond positively to this request. As the NZSBA is a driving force for breeders, NZMTC is delighted to partner with them to reward their members’ efforts in breeding winning racehorses.

The scheme is open to any member of the NZSBA who breeds the winner of a totalisator race held at an NZMTC meeting at Addington Raceway. They will be eligible for a $500 bonus payment.

Full terms and conditions are available at or

Ged Mooar, Addington
