Adore Me came to the North Island with a big reputation and she didn't let her harness racing fans down when she easily won tonight's (Friday December 7) $75,000 Group Two Peter Breckon Memorial and Caduceus Club Ladyship Stakes for 3yo fillies.

Trainer-driver Purdon was delighted with the way the daughter of Bettor's Delight performed first-up at Alexandra Park.

"She travelled beautifully and when she got the lead near the turn she was full of running. She ran on well and had plenty left at the end," Purdon said.

It was Adore Me's fourth win from four starts and first start over the distance.

Winner's time for the 2200 mobile: 2:43.99. Mile rate: (1:59.9). Last 800m: 58.9. Last 400m: 28.9. Margins: 5-3/4 lengths, 1-1/4 lengths and 2-1/4 lengths. Place-getters: Annie Morva (Peter Ferguson) 2, Splendour (Todd Macfarlane) 3, Keepsake (Zac Butcher) 4. Winning dividend: $1.30 (first favourite of 12).

Purdon said he was looking forward to a big season with the filly he rated as one of the best he had trained and driven."She got it all ahead of her. I'd love to win the New Zealand Oaks with her later in the season and perhaps toward the end of season she could race in Australia.

"She's as good as any filly that I have had," Purdon told Harnesslink.

Her next mission will be the $170,000 Group One Alabar Sires Stakes Final at Alexandra Park on New Year's Eve.

Adore Me is owned by Charlie Roberts, P.G. Kenny and Mrs M.L. Kenny. She was bred by Roberts.

Her bank balance stands at just over $50,000.
