Alcoy was an easy winner at Cagnes sur Mer

Alcoy (5m Ready Cash-Divann) won the Cagnes sur Mer Saturday featured Grand Prix de la Ville de Nice (purse 66,000€, 2925 meters distance handicap, 12 starters European) timed in 1.14.3kr.

Christophe Martens teamed the winner for Ceke Farm BVBA and trainer Vincent Martens. The 9/10 favorite, now a five-time winner in France in 18 appearances, and with life earnings of 322,660€, defeated 5.6/1 Bulle de Laumont (8f Hand du Vivier) with Stephane Cingland at the lines and third finishing 33/1 Creature Castelets (7f Pomerol de Laumac) handled by J.Ch. Feron.

A pair of 25-meter handicapped performers, Balbir and Cicero Noa, finished fourth and fifth.
