October 20, 2015 - Vea du Vivier (6f Jeanbat du Vivier-Kea du Vivier) won today’s €82,000 purse, 2850 meter Prix Isara at Paris-Vincennes.

Thirteen contestants battled in this event timed in 1.14.3kr by the 3.2/1 odds by the Franck Ouvrie teamed winner, trained by St. Meunier for owner Jean Paul Sassier. 2.6/1 Shadow d’Odyssee was second for Eric Raffin and Ecurie Percheronne with third to 2.4/1 Very Nice Marceaux (6m Jag de Bellouet-Jolie Fortuna) reined by Pierre Vercruysse.

Cavalleria (3f Prodigious-Janga) took the Gr. III Prix Timocharis (purse €68,000, 2850 meters, 11 starters) timed in 1.15.8kr for reinsman Eric Raffin at 3.3/1 odds. Sebastien Guarato trains the winner for Ecurie Castagnieria. Favorite 1.4/1 odds Cylee Nevele (3f Sam Bourbon-Quick Nevele) finished second for David Thomain and owner/trainer Philippe Allaire. 6.6/1 Combattante (3f Sam Bourbon-New York) was a closing third for Pierre Vercruysse for owner/trainer Louis Baudron.

The evening’s Paris-Vincennes feature was the Gr. III Prix California (purse €90.000. 2850 meters, 9 starters) and the result was a dominating winning performance by Alderman (5g Phlegyas-Initia) reined by Eric Raffin. The barefoot winner overcame an early rough-gaited period to gain the front and open a nearly 20 length margin before scoring by 10 panels timed in 1.12.8kr. This 3/1 favorite is owned by Ecurie J-P Masselin. 37/1 Alpha Saltor (5m Paris Haufor-Glory d’Ariene) ended second for Mathieu Abrivard with third to 7/1 Artiste de Joudes (5m Prodigious-Memory de Joudes) with David Thomain up for trainer/owner Philippe Allaire.
