Christopher Giaccio's trotting mare Allmar Surprise (Victor Kirby, $4.40) notched her ninth win of the harness racing season in Harrington Raceway's featured $20,000 Open Trot Wednesday in 1:55.1. The all-aged track record holder at Harrington, 'Allmar' and trainer/driver Kirby left alertly from post six and led all the way after fighting off a late challenge from Man About Town for the win.

Cashahallic was third.

For Allmar Surprise, it was her 40th career win as her career earnings inch closer to $500,000.

She has a splendid resume at Harrington, which includes four wins and a second in her five 2012 starts over Delaware's half mile racetrack, where she has 13 lifetime victories.
