Hamburg, NY---Tim Bojarski, President Upstate New York Harness Writers Association, reports, 'I was at ECMC last night to see harness racing driver Jack Flanigen.
He checked out okay, and was sent home. No concussion, no broken bones, nothing but sore from hitting the track. Jim Mango (C.O.O. Buffalo Raceway) called me this morning, and told me he talked to Ray Fisher, who was sent home this Morning.
He has a broken back (2 vertebrae) and a fractured pelvis, but will not require surgery. He said about 5 weeks off.
So as bad as it looked, it turned out better than what most of us expected.
