Anna Mix and Cahal des Rioults Wins Gr. II Vincennes Tests

The Gr. II Prix de Croix (€120,000. UET Masters Series European, 2850 meters, 17 starters for five year olds), also the Q+ race of the day with a €3,950,000 jackpot), went to rallying 8/1 Anna Max (5f Ludo du Castille-Ires) hanleld by Franck Nivard for Franck Leblanc trainer.

Timed in a sharp 1.12.7kr the winner defeated 3/2 favorite Amrial  Sacha (5m Ganymede-Nostalgique Sacha) with Gabrielle Gelormini up.

This one was a recent second in the Criterium Continential and he was again superb racing at or near the front throughout. 5/1 odds Africaine (5m Oiseau de Feaux-Italienne) was third for owner/breeder/trainer/driver Jean-Etienne Dubois. Athos ds Elfes (5g Ganymede-Lazio du Bourg) ended fourth for Joel Van Eeckhaute after leading into the stretch.

II Prix Maurice de Gheest (€120,000, 2700 meters, 9 starters, three year-olds) went to 5/1 Cahal des Rioults (3m Password-Plesse des Rioults) reined by veteran Joseph Verbeeck for trainer Philippe Allaire. The winner was timed in 1.16kr. Canari Match (3m Extreme Aunou-Ruelles d’Ostral) was second at 9/1 for Franck Ouvrie and conditioner Frederic Prat. Caid Griff (3m Password-Savanne Griff) was third at 6/1 for Eric Raffin and Sebastian Guarato trainer. Highly regarded Celebrissime was a dq with Yohan Lebourgeois up. 

Tornado Bello (8m Jag de Bellouet-Enfilade-Tourass Boulba) took the Gr. III Prix du Forez (€110,000, 2700meters, 16 starters) in 1.12.8kr scoring at 12/1 odds. The half-brother to Offshore Dream, a double Prix d’Amerique winner, with Pierre Levesque up for trainer Mike Lenders, defeated 5/1 Scarlet Turgot (9f Dahir de Prelong-Noella de Massy) and Eric Raffin ahead of Triskell Pacha (8g Elio Josselyn-Derose de la Butte) with Franck Nivard up at 16/1. The winner was victorious for the 13th time, now for career earnings of €520,080.Tornado Bello

Agrippine (5f Hasting-Moqueuse-Extreme Dream) took today’s monte Prix de Mauquenchy (€95,000, 2175 meters, 12 European starters for five year-olds) for jockey Alexandre Abrivard and trainer L. Cl. Abrivard. The 8/1 outsider scored in 1.13.8kr with a fast-finishing last 675 meters to record her third victory for €189,730, holding off #9 Attentionally. Attentionally (5f Jasmin de Fiore-Intentionally) was second for David Thomain ahead of Amiral du Poitou (5m Oxford du Rib-Katia de Loumade) with Mathieu Abrivard in the irons.
