Veteran Beckman (7g Turbo Sund-Nins Palema-Alf Palema) won today’s featured €95,000 Prix de Blois for european trotters at 7.8/1 odds.

The Swedish registered campaigner was driven by Franck Nivard for trainer Fabrice Souloy and owner J-P Izzo as he recorded victory 27, good for career earnings in excess of €550,000.

Beckman rallied late to score in 1.12kr over the 2100 meter autostart distance against 13 rivals.

The race was the Quinte+ race of the day with a €4.5 million jackpot.

Beckman is a winter meet specialist and last winter was victorious at Vincennes on February 2, January 5, December 25 and 14, November 23 and October 25.

Seduisant Fouteau (8m Gazoullis-Elisalde) was second for Charles Dreoux with Ricimer (9m Hermes du Buisson-Gyka de la Chaise) home third for Herve Sionneau.

The Q+ returned over €251,000 for a €2 play to those selecting the top five finishers in exact order.
