Asana Trembladaise Wins Prix Raoul Balliere at Paris; Action at Vermo and Kincsem Park

The Gr. II Prix Raoul Balliere (monte, 2175 meters, 120,000 euro purse) today went to Asana Trembladaise (3f Kuadro Wild-Passion d'Alban) with Anthony Dollion in the irons. She scored in 1.14.6kr over classmates Aston Fly (3m Hermes de Montfort-Quie Daidou) and Ayrton Griff (3m Fortuna Font-Ojipsie Griff), the latter trained by Sebastien Guarato for Ecurie Griff and handled by P-Y Verva.

On the afternoon Paris-Vincennes card was also the Prix Seiches/Le Loir (monte, 2175 meters, 90,000 euro purse) that produced a 1.12.9kr score for the rallying Tsar de Houelle (6g Baccarat du Pont-Vanita de la Motte) with Franck Nivard aboard for trainer Franck Leblanc. He defeated Leblanc stablemate Ulagarassan (5g Love You-Indienne Pascole) and the Eric Raffin handled Travel Jet (6m Jag de Bellouet-Kelite Jet).

The Prix Cogolin (2850 meters, 46,000 euro purse for three year-old males) later in the program resulted in a 1.15.1kr score for Franck Nivard handling Alto de Mai (3m Millenium Wood-Gezelle de Mai). Attila Berry (3m Nice Love-Idei du Corta) took second for J-M Bazire with third to Arpent d'Ostal (3m Meaulnes du Corta-Quina Perrine) and J-Ph Mary.

The Sunday card at Paris-Vincennes features the Gr. II Prix Octave Douesnal and the Gr. I Criterium 3 Ans with several Ready Cash offspring at the start.

At Vermo today the V-75 Gold went to the roan veteran upper class performer Womanizer (9g Tap In-Sandra Nibs-Mr. Drew) in 1.15.4kr for Tommi Kyllainen. BWL Champion (8g Pine Chip-Lovely-Top Love) was a close second with Johnny Takter driving and Monster Drive (7m Thai Tanic-Kewpie-Pearsall Hanover) was home third for Bjorn Goop.

Kinscem Park hosted its annual December marathon event, the Baka Handicap over 4200 meters with distance handicaps for a purse of 1.1 million Huf. Miki (7m Baltic Bet-Viki) secured the win for leading dash-winning teamster Csaba Lakatos in 1.21.9kr after traveling 4240 meters. Once de Mayo (5m Buvetier d'Aunou-Carioca Oaks) was a fast closing second (traveling 4220 meters) over the half-brother to the winner Nikki (6g Tony Oaks-Viki) with Tibor Hajnal up. Nikki traveled 4320 meters while Vamos Kemp (6m Duran Hanover-Prayer Bar) was fourth after battling the 4280 meter distance.

In the weekly open class event, this week the Oroshaza Varos Dija (1960 meters distance handicapped, 500,000 Huf purse), went to Ollyan Nincs (5g Pickaflick-C'est la Guerre). The former HU Derby winner was trained and reined by Imre Fazekas as he rallied late for a close win in 1.17.6kr. Pacesetter Racerstina (8f Spotlite Lobell-Queen Jackson) was second as she traveled an extra 20 meters. Wale (6f Center Field-La Lynn Sann) ended third ahead of Kiskarcsi (9g Castleton Magic-Best Love).
