American Chocolate, a sharp looking daughter of American Ideal consigned by Eldred Nicholson topped the harness racing 2015 Atlantic Classic Sale, selling to Claude Poirier for $18,000.
The sale recorded the second highest gross in history, marginally behind the 2014 record setter.
Doug Hill bought the top Atlantic sired filly, Woodmere Dreams, an Articulator daughter consigned by Woodmere Farms for $15,500. Selling for $15,000 were Cowboys Don't Cry, a Brandon's Cowboy son, purchased by Reg MacPherson, from Meridian Farms, and Woodmere Soul, purchased by Dan Ross from Woodmere Farms.
Buntainwood Farms purchased two of the sales leaders, collaring the American Gigolo son Corner Man for $14,000 from Meridian Farm, and Woodmere Payback , another Articulator daughter, from Woodmere Farms for $13,500
Boyd MacDonald had the final bid on the top selling trotter, Mary Leah, a full sister to his stakes star Time Warp, for $8,500.
Other sales leaders were the Debbie Francis purchase of J J Horatio from Jamie MacKinley for $13,500, the same price paid Reg MacPherson for Howmacs Capri, an Articulator filly from Howmac Farms.
Woodmere Lukypercy also brought $13,500 from Boyd MacDonald and Dan Ross for the Articulator filly from Woodmere Farms.
