Crapaud, PE – The 2018 edition of the Atlantic Classic was held Friday (October 5) at the Crapaud Exhibition Grounds and the harness racing yearling sale was another record-setting day.
The sale topper was a Credit Winner colt purchased by Donna Van Meer of Ontario for $ 26,000. This was an Atlantic record for a Trotter. This handsome colt was consigned by Meridian Farms of Milton PEI.
The top selling Pacer was a Malicious colt purchased by Peter Smith of Stratford, PEI for $ 24, 500. This colt was consigned by Allan McNeil of Windsor , Nova Scotia. The top selling Pacing filly was also purchased by Peter Smith for $18,500 , and was consigned by Blair Campbell of North Wiltshire, PEI.
"The trot prices reflected the tremendous support of the regional trot stakes program by Meridian Farms," stated Sale Manager Wayne Pike.
"The top selling Trot filly was Dusty Lane Manney selling for $8,000 to AL McNeil of Nova Scotia . The consignor was Ronnie and Dianne Gass of Dusty Lane Farms of Cornwall PEI".
