Crowds line up for the next race at Northside Downs

Northside Downs hosted the Atlantic Sires Stakes on Saturday afternoon with the three-year-old pacing fillies and colts back in the spotlight.

Sail Through was the longest shot on the board in the fastest $9,120 "A" division, but pulled off the 13-1 upset in 1:57.1, just missing the filly track record by one-fifth of a second. The win was her first in five starts this year and a career-best effort.

She followed along in third as Elm Grove Inarush battled Lovineveryminute and then Saulsbrook Alana, who eventually broke stride in the stretch. Sail Through won by two and a half lengths with 'Alana' staying for second and Woodmere Trulyblue finishing third.

Mike Stevenson trains and drives the Aahm Canadian Now-Shadowblue filly for Boyd Macdonald Prodce Ltd. of Crapaud, P.E.I. and Daniel Ross of Belfast, P.E.I.
