Trackside presenter Greg O'Conner made a presentation to harness racing's 'Wonder Boy' Dexter Dunn on behalf of the Auckland Trotting Club at Alexandra Park last Friday night (June 17). The club wanted to acknowledge the service Dunn had given to Alexandra Park before leaving for the United States today (Monday June 20).

"It was just our way of saying thank-you," said Kim Algie from the club's sponsorship and corporate department.

"We asked Dexter what he wanted and he said some earphones to listen to on the aeroplane - so we bought him some which were called 'head candy'. Maybe he will use them to psyche himself up before races as well. We also got him a luggage tag."

Dunn arrives in New York on Monday night (US time) and will begin working and driving for New Jersey trainer and former Kiwi, Chris Ryder, soon after.
