April 25, 2019 – The Gran Premio Nazionale Open and Filly divisions took place Thursday at Milano La Maura (1050 meter track) with the Gr. II Nazionale Filly (purse 88,000€, 1650 meters autostart, 14 starters) beginning the harness racing action.
In that one Audrey Effe (3f Up And Quick-Simphony Effe-Going Kronos) drew off to an easy 1.13kr score for pilot Andrea Farolfi.
Rallying for second was A Sexygirl Par (3f Varenne-Fight For Lux) reined by V.P. Dell’Annunziata.

The Nazionale Open (Gr. I, purse 154,000€, 2250 meters autostart, 12 starters) went to the favored winner Axl Rose (3m Love You-Linda di Casei-Uronometro) clocked in 1.12.3kr.
Alessandro Gocciadoro teamed the winner to a decisive score over Al Capone Stecca (3m Napoleon Bar-Ombretta Bar-Ganymede) handled by G.P. Minnucci and third finishing Aladin Effe (3m Maharajah-Imperfection Effe-Varenne).

On the undercard was the Gr. III Ettore e Mario Barletta (Gr. III, purse 40,040€, 2700 meters) with that 1.14.2kr timed victory to Showmar (8m SJs Photo-Lucemar-Lemon Dra) with Andrea Guzzinati aboard.
He defeated Santiago de Leon (8m Ganymede-Lady Caf-Lindy Lane) with Roberto Vecchione the pilot.
Third went to Tornado Del Vento (7g Light Kronos-Gara Del Vento-Toss Out).
Alessandro Gocciadoro enjoyed a fine day at Milano winning five including the GP Nazionale.
His other wins were with Afrodite Grif (3f Varenne-Fauve Grif-Viking Kronos) in 1.12.7kr; Tantalio (7m Le Touquet-Powerful Victory-Valley Victory) in 1.11.5kr; Zaniah Bi (4f Equinox Bi-Fendi Bi-Sugarcane Hanover) in a record 1.10,5kr; and the 1.11.3kr clocked Visia Spin (5f Varenne-Karisma Jet-Enjoy Lavec).
The batterias have been announced for the May 1 running of the Gr. I UET Masters Series Gran Premio Lotteria, its 70th edition and with a total purse of 765,900€. There are three batterias and eight upper level trotters in each, followed by the final and a consolation raced at the Agnano racecourse.
The lineups include the J-M Bazire teammates Bel Avis and Abydos du Vivier that will face a host of locals in their respective eliminations.
