The five year-old gelded son of Offshore Dream-Joyeuse Tilly was reined by Pierre Vercruysse in the 1.15.2kr victory (race time 3:36.25). Aux Lefroutins (5g Pad d’Urzy-Moon de Verbois) was second at 8.7/1 odds for Franck Nivard a length from the winner, with third to 3.2/1 Aghinetti (5m Magnificant Rodney-Quanossa de Visais) driven by trainer Robert Bergh for Stall Courant AB. Avenir de Blay (5g Hooper-Mirabelle de Blay) at 2.7/1 was fourth for owner/trainer/driver Tony Le Beller with fifth to 82/1 Angel Dark (5g Look de Star-Quadrata des Jipes) for Johanna Lindqvist and trainer Anders Lindqvist.
At Solvalla the Armbro Keepsake (80,000SEK to the winner, 1140 meters autostart sprint) went to 2.1/1 Food Money (7g Andover Hall-Windylane Hanover-Lindy Lane) with Jennifer Tillaman aboard for Thomas Jezek trainer. 2.5/1 Tycoon Conway Hall (5m Conway Hall-Golden Sunday-Supergill) was second for Thomas Uhrberg for trainer Steen Juul ahead of third finishing Georgina Corner (6f Love You-Georgetown-Kramer Boy) driven by Erik Adielsson. On the same card 2.8/1 Arvie Hanover took the Trearingslopp (40,000SWK to winner, 2140 meters autostart) for Erik Adielsson, trainer Svante Bath and owner Global Farm AB. Interestingly this winner is a three year-old filly by pacing stalwart Somebeachsomewhere-All American Apex-Western Hanover. This winner has a slate of 1-2-1 in four starts this year, previously racing outside of Europe on the pacing gait making five starts at age two.
Top flight racing is scheduled on the weekend in FR and SWE. Friday at Paris-Vincennes the Prix Pierre Van Troyen (purse €90,000, 2850 meters, 12 starters), a Gr. III event. J-M Bazire teams Belina Josselyn as a probable favorite in the contest. The Prix Gisella (purse €68,000, 2850 meters, 11 starters), also a Gr. III event led by Cicero Face with Jos. Verbeeck and Cow Boy Griff with Pierre Vercruysse set to drive. Two year-olds also will battle in the Gr. III Prix Louis Cauchois (purse €80,000, 2200 meters, nine starters) with top contenders being Derrick de Njanda for J-M Bazire, Django Riff to be reined by Jos. Verbeeck and Diaz Dairpet with Mathieu Abrivard set to rein. At Mons Ghlin the Quinte+ Grand Prix de la Touscaint Tour (purse €120,000, 2300 meters autostart, 16 entrants) will be led by Roi du Lupin for Bjorn Goop and Solea Rivelliere for Philippe Daugeard. On Saturday at Jagersro will be held the Gr. II International UET Masters Series 2015 C.L. Mullers Memorial with 500,000SEK to the winner of the 2640 meter autostart distance. The good field follows:
