Starting this Wednesday, February 1st, Balmoral Park and Cal Expo Raceway, will reintroduce the Bal-Cal Pick Four Challenge. This season's Challenge will carry a $25,000 guaranteed pool and be conducted every Wednesday night.

The Bal-Cal Pick Four Challenge will consist of two races from Balmoral (races 9 & 10) and two races from Cal Expo (races 9 &10).

The Bal-Cal Pick Four Challenge will be a $1 minimum bet. In addition to the Bal-Cal Challenge offering a $25,000 guarantee pool, which is based on a net payment of $18,750. The Challenge will offer a net payout of 25% if no there are no winners, with a 75% net pool carry-over to the next Wednesday’s Bal-Cal Challenge.

“We along with the management of Balmoral are really excited about the return of this unique multi-track wager,” said Chris Schick, General Manager of Sacramento Harness Association. “Originally, when the two tracks introduced the Bal-Cal, it was offered on Saturday. Now, with Balmoral racing on Wednesday, it provides fans a interesting mid-week wagering opportunity.”

Post time for Balmoral’s 9th race, the first leg of the Bal-Cal Challenge, will be at approximately 11:00 p.m. (EST), approximately ten minutes after the last race (12th) from the Meadowlands.
