Bronson Hall, who had been tiring late in recent races after fighting for the lead, got to the front, unchallenged, in Friday night’s (July 1) featured seventh race at Hawthorne.

Michael Polansky owns Bronson Hall.

Able to set rather leisurely fractions of 27.4 seconds, 56.4s, 1.25.1, with a final time of 1.52.2, he had plenty left to hold off the strong late move of favoured Time Alone.

Trained by Tom Harmer and masterfully driven by Tony Morgan, Bronson Hall paid $8.20 as the second choice in the betting.

ox Valley Flan never fired in the $100,000 Erwin F. Dygert Memorial Trot, finishing last in a race where she never made any kind of move.

Fox Valley Flan is owned by Tanah Merah Farms LLC.

It was an entirely different story in Friday’s third race.

Granted, it was a much easier field but the manner in which she won was highly impressive.

Sent off as the 2-5 choice, this talented mare was content to race midpack early but she rushed to the lead on the far turn and was the easiest kind of winner.

With Andy Miller back in the bike, this Erv Miller trainee had three lengths on the field at the top of the stretch and continued to build her advantage, ultimately winning by seven and a half lengths.

Though few were going to get rich on her $2.80 win price, she was probably the closest to a sure thing that we have had all meet.
