October 13, 2015 - An excellent trotting card was on stage this evening at Paris-Vincennes.

Combattante (3f Sam Bourbon-New York) took the Prix Ophiucus (purse €58,000, 2850 meters, 14 starters) as the Eric Raffin piloted filly scored in 1.15.7kr at 6.3/1 odds.

Louis Baudron owns and trains the winner that is from New York 1:57.1 (US$145,660), she a daughter of In Love With You-Comtesse d’Aunou-Baltic Speed-Nesmile, the latter dam of Buvetier d’Aunou, Defi d’Aunou, Extreme Aunou and Unispeed.

New York previously produced Texas Style 1:57.3 (US$342,277) and is a 100% producer from her first five foals.

15/1 Capucine des Neuzy (3f Rambaldi-Julie a’Aubrac) was second for Mathieu Abrivard and 13/1 Creation (3f Rieussec-Ovation) landed the third spot for trainer/driver J-G Van Eeckhaute.

The featured Prix Ludovica (purse €75,000, 2850 meters, 11 four year-old starters) this evening went to 4.4/1 odds Babylone Seven (4f Oiseau de Feux-Nyala) timed in 1.14.3kr for trainer/driver J-M Bazire. 25/1 Beaute de Baily (4f Vivaldi de Chorce-Oceane de Bailly) was a close second ahead of Bianca des Iles (4f Open Charm-Itija Paquerie) on the petit course at Vincennes

Monte three year-old performers contested the Prix Phact (purse €68,000, 2850 meters, 12 starters), a Gr. II event, that went to 5.2/1 odds Candela (3f First de Retz-Ofana) clocked in 1.15.2kr for jockey Yoann Lebourgeois in an open-length victory. 17/1 Cincinnati Bond (3f Prince Gede-Miranda d’Odyssee) was next for Anthony Barrier and third was earned by 79/1 outsider Caceaude Noel (3m Corot-Nuit de Noel) ridden by Philippe Masschaele.

Vincennes’ Prix Algina for two year-olds (purse €38,000, 2200 meters, 7 starters) resulted in a narrow victory for the Yves Boireau trained Dream Darling (2m Sam Bourbon-Let’s Go Darling) and driver/owner Jean-Pierre Dubois clocked in 1.18.3kr and off at 4.9/1 odds.

Let’s Go Darling 1:57.5 (US$370,959) is a daughter of Coktail Jet-Fly Darling-Podosis and Fly Darling is dam of Valse Darling 1:54.3 (US$560,587).

The 3/5 favorite Django Riff (2m Ready Cash-Rasta Perrine) was second, driven by Joseph Verbeeck for trainer Philippe Allaire and owner Elisabeth Allaire. Darwin Maza (2m Coktail Jet-Paloma) was third at 6.1/1 odds for Ecurie de Maza and trainer Sebastien Guarato.

At Mons Ghlin Belgium today the featured Prix Journal Eurotierce Belgium (purse €8,400, 2850 meters autostart, 10 entrants) went to 1,2/1 favored class-master Olmo Holz (7m Uronometro-Veuve du Kras) driven by trainer Christophe Martens for owner Frans Delmote. The winner scored narrowly in 1.16.5kr over Out of Nowhere (9m Great Challenger-Gladstone) and third finishing Une de Bannes (7f Vroum d’Or-Jeune de Bannes) and reinsman Rik Dupuydt.
