It was announced over the weekend that American trotting star Corky will stay in Sweden for a couple of months.

Today it was decided that Uncle Peter will also remain in Scandinavia. Uncle Peter has earned 7.8 million SEK during his career and is one of the top horses in the USA. In Scandinavia he hasn't showed full potential, finishing fifth place in the Copenhagen Cup and tiring in his Elitloppet elimination to fail qualifying for the final.

Uncle Peter hopes to obtain a start in the Oslo Grand Prix. Uncle Peter will join Corky at Daniel Reden's Stable Zet where they will be trained by Tobias J. Gustafsson.

Backfire (4f by Offshore Dream) and Poochai (4m Make It Happen) took tonight’s companion Gr. I International events at Aby.

Gothenburg, the Drottning Silvias Pokal for four year-old mares and the Konung Gustaf V’s Pokal for four year-old males. Both carried a purse of €199,930 with the winners’ share being €99,970.

Backfire scored in 1.12.6kr over 2140 meters autostart, driven by Johnny Takter for a two length victory from Air Frame and Bjorn Goop. Heavily supported D’One (4f Donato Hanover-Giant Diablo-Supergill) came from far back to be third. Summary and video replay link are shown below with official program that follows:
