As officials were keeping a close watch on activities in the United States star canadian pacer Bigtime Ball scorched around the mohawk track in 1:48.2 last saturday to keep his prospects open for an invite to the Watpac Inter Dominion Championship next year.

Whilst the focus was on the $1/2million Ben Franklin Final at Chester where Mister Big proved a little too strong for Art Official in equal world record time of 1:48, Bigtime Ball was setting himself for a later encounter against his cross border foes.

The connections of Bigtimeball have been biding their time and will await the challenge from the likes of Mister Big, Art Official, Bettor Sweet and Won The West in the $700,000 Canadian Derby in late August.

Bigtime Ball has an imposing record this year of 11 starts for seven wins and three placings with times ranging from 1:48.2 to 1:51 for earnings of $240,692.

Meanwhile, Well Said is being compared to the great Somebeachsomewhere as he proceeds towards total domination of the three-year-old ranks in North America.

Well Said won his elimination to the Adios Pace in 1:49 an all-age track record at the Meadows. The $677,665 Final of the Adios will be held this Saturday.
