Ready Cash will make his final career start in next Sunday's Gr. I Prix de France at Paris-Vincennes.

With Maharajah returned to Sweden the 20 horse field (as initially engaged) showcases strong competitors Up And Quick (second in Prix d'Amerique), the likely favorite, Yarrah Boko (third in January 26 classic), Timoko, The Best Madrik and Univers de Pan. Roxana de Barbray races on February 2. Roxane Griff was not entered in the Prix de France as she will have raced on three consecutive Sunday's including the February 2 monte classic Prix de L'lle-de-France.

Black d’Avril, with Franck Ouvrie teaming for trainer Frederic Prat, took today’s co-featured Prix Paul Viel for three year-old colts.

The Oceano Nox colt, a fron t-stepping leader, held gamely to the line although he drifted off the pylons allowing heavily favored Brillantissime, by Ready Cash, and reinsman Jos. Verbeeck to rally. Brillantissime looked like he might emerge victorious but stalled short of the line to finish third behind second place Brutus de Bailly and J-M Bazire. Winner Black d’Avril was off at 6.3/1 odds in this 120,000 euro purse event over 2175 meters, timed in 1.14kr, versus the race record of 1.13.5kr set by Tucson.
