SHE has only been training horses for five seasons and Ellen Bartley is about to reach a milestone.
The horsewoman is heading off to the Riverina Paceway on Friday chasing her 100thwin as a trainer.
Missing out on the century by a narrow margin with Hunza Valley on Tuesday, Bartley looks to have a good chance of reaching the triple-figure mark with her team on Friday.
Girls Got Courage, Blazin Cracker and All Good should all get their chance appearing to be well placed in their respective races.
“They have all been performing well and given the right runs could all go close,” Bartley said.
Bartley’s biggest victory as a trainer so far was with Geldof in last year’s Group 3 Breeders Challenge Regional Final.
Another favourite win of hers was winning the Vicbred Semi Final with Forever Yin earlier this year.
Bartley has also experienced success in the sulky having driven 97 winners, looking forward to driving her 100th.
“In terms of future goals, I would love to train a Group 1 winner and also drive my 100thwinner,” she said.
Around the stables Bartley works alongside partner Blake Jones, which gives her time to run her Equine Sports Therapist business.
Bartley is a qualified Equine Sports Massage Therapist, servicing the horses of the Riverina NSW and surrounding areas including Goulburn Valley VIC.
