The overwhelming 1/11 favorite, Be Mine de Houelle, took Saturday’s Stora Monte at Aby (125,000SEK to the winner, 1640 meters autostart) timed in 1.11.9kr (mile rate 1:55.68 over the 1000 meter track).

Marie Bacsich teamed the Franck Leblanc trainee that he and Pauline Carty own. This mare now has three 2018 wins in 11 starts. The 6.5/1 Shogun DK (9g Gentle Star) was second for Jessica Pilenberg and 9.1/1 Dollar Access (11g Alf Palema) was third for jockey Josefine Ivehag.

The winner set the monte world speed record at Solvalla earlier this year with a 1.09.8kr score on May 27 (Elitloppet Day).

On the same card was the Ragnar Thomgrens (250,000 SEK to winner, 2140 meters autostart, total purse 50,752 euro). 46/1 Alcoy (4m Ready Cash-Divann) scored in 1.12.1kr for trainer/driver Peter Untersteiner and Ceke Farm. 3/10 favorite Perfect Spirit (4m Andover Hall-Good Common Cents) rallied for second with Orjan Kihlstrom up for SRF Stable and trainer Daniel Reden. 44/1 Velvet Gio (4g Nad Al Sheba0Mind Wise As) took third for Torbjorn Jansson

The V5 Silver (300,000SEK to winner, total purse 59,136 euro, 2140 meters autostart) saw 2.3/1 Globalsatisfaction (6m Kadabra-Glide Path) score in 1.12.8kr with Ulf Ohlsson up for trainer Timo Nurmos.

The 17/1 Nobel Amok (6g Zola Boko-Madame Amok) took second for Robert Bergh and third was 12/1 Springover (7m Going Kronos-Malabara) for Peter Untersteiner.

The V75 Bronze Division (250,000SEK to winner, 50,752 euro total purse, 2140 meters autostart) saw 1.13.1kr timed and 3.6/1 Victory Kasgards (7g ENS Snapshot-Happy Birthday) score for Flemming Jensen and trainer Leif Clemensen.

The 38/1 Aileron (6g Scarlet Knight) and 24/1 Monfalcone (8m Thai Tanic) rounded out the top three, this pair with Robert Bergh and Tom Horpestad driving.
