June 10. 2015 – The 1.8/1 favorite Bearhawaii (5g Dream Vacation-Honalulu Lulu) took today’s Prix Timoko (€25,000 purse, 2550 meters, European 13 starters) at Beaumont de Lomagne, clocked in 1.15.7kr for harness racing trainer/driver Christophe Martens. 9/1 Anatzi d’Alsace (5g Pagelot-Jivana d’Alsace) was second for Frederic Clozier with third to Dacke Haleryd (8m Goetmals Wood-All American Chill) for Michel-X Charlot, trainer Ronny Kuiper and owner Skeie Stable AS from Norway.
Good action also occurred at La Capelle with several noteworthy events including the Prix de la Capelle (€21,000 purse, 2700 meters autostart, 15 starters). Capone Face (3m Ready Cash-Kingly Pride) scored in 1.17.3kr as the 1.6/1 favorite driven by Pierre Vercruysse for trainer Franck Leblanc and owner Antonio De Sousa. 20/1 Caduceus des Baux (3g Mark Speed-Festinci des Baiuz) was next for David-Marion Hue ahead of 69/1 Coko Look (3m Look de Star-Jerez) with Sebastian Ernault up for trainer Ulf Nordin.
Also at La Capelle the Prix de la Savr 5+ (€32,000 purse,2750 meters, 16 starters) produced a 16/1 upset winner in Viva de Luna (6f Prodigious-Oree de Strata) with Gabriel Gelormini aboard. Clocked in 1.15.5kr the winner bested 15/1 Tosca du Chatelet (8f Chef du Chatelet-Meomi du Chatelet) with Sebastian Ernault up and third finisher 5/1 Va Au Poteau (6g Pad d’Urzy-Haita de l’Arrete) with Francois Lecanu aboard for owner/trainer Ph-E Trible.
The Prix du Croise-Laroche (€20,000 purse, 2700 meters autostart, 16 starters) at La Capelle went to 15/1 Bianca des Brouets (4f Notre Haufor-Oiyeda) and reinsman Pierre Versruysse. Pascal Daulier is the trainer. Banana Star (4f Pim Quick-Nikasa du Roncey) was next at 37/1 for Michel Lenoir with third to 19/1 Bastelica (4f In Love With You) for trainer/driver Jean-Benoit Lemoine.
This day at Solvalla SWE the Nu Pagadis trot (€60,000SEK first money, 2140 meters autostart) went to Charrva Forlon (5g Up Front Larry-Friska Bar-Frisky Frazier) and trainer/driverHans-Owe Sundberg. The winner is now 2-2-0 in six 2015 appearances, this win in 1.13.4kr. Ivar Sanna (5m Super Arnie-Staro Africat-Giant Cat) was second for teamster Thomas Uhrberg and owner/breeder Happy People Racing AB. The ex-Jimmy Takter US trainee Corky (5g Muscles Yankee-Clarice Marie-Balanced Image) finished third for Erik Adielsson and legendary trainer Stig H. Johansson. The Stall Corkad owned campaigner was bred in the US by Ohio’s Lynn Baker.
Don’t forget the Oslo Grand Prix weekend in Norway at Bjerke Travbane. The Sunday OGP card starts at noon local time and also includes the Energma Cup amd top races for mares, four and five year-olds, and a monte contest that has new world record holder Torre Crepin among the starters. The OGP, a UET Masters Series event, is race 11 on the program.
