April 14, 2017 – Today’s Q+ Paris-Vincennes featured Prix Jean Riaud (Gr. III, purse €115,000, 3535 meters distance handicap) went to the very impressive 4/5 favored Belina Josselyn (6f Love You-Lezira Josselyn) reined by harness racing trainer Jean-Michel Bazire for breeder/owner Yvan Bernard.
The winning mare overcame a 25 meter handicap to score in record time for the 3525 meters (2.19 miles) distance of 1.12.8kr (mile rate 1:57.13, race time 4:18.5).
Belina now has 16 career victories and earning of €1,109.980.
Finishing second was 18.5/1 Valko Jenilat (8m Kepler-Perle du Roc) with Eric Raffin up for trainer Sebastian Guarato, also handling a 25 meter penalty. Third went to 3.6/1 Lionel (7m Look de Star-Aurora Sign) teamed with Matthieu Abrivard for trainer Daniel Reden, he also faced a 25 meter handicap as did fourth finishing Best Of Jets (6m Magnificent Rodney-Plume Jets) at 24/1 for Tony LeBeller and trainer J-M Baudouin. Fifth was 13/1 Orient Horse (9m Abano As-Irma del Rio) for Pierre Levesque. Ludo’s Oiler, Your Highness (+25 meters) and Up And Quick (+50 meters) were the next three home in this classic contest that honored the legendary trainer/driver of Jamin.
