Bettors Fire’s racing days in Western Australia appear numbered, after a deal was struck to see him race in the United States.
The 10-year-old hasn’t started since finishing fourth to My Hard Copy on August 17 at Gloucester Park.
Trainer Kyle Harper said it was a difficult decision to see his stable star leave to go overseas, but the offer was too good to refuse.
“Sadly, he’s off to the US to have a US campaign,” he said.
“It’s very sad to see him go, but at the same time it’s a business and offers were made.
“I know he’s going to a good place and he’s going to do very well over there.”
A winner at 40 of his 106 starts, Bettors Fire has built an impressive list of feature race wins including two Bunbury Cups, an Inter Dominion Heat in 2016 and last year’s Village Kid Sprint.
