Mark down teenage reinsman Zac Phillips as the next big thing in Victorian harness racing.

Notching up his 18th winner to date with a masterly front running exhibition aboard the Susan Hunter trained Lightning Joy in the $10,000 Gunbower Trotters Cup held on Sunday November 18, young Zac showed the coolness and ability of experienced reinspersons twice his age to land the major prize, not being flustered at any stage during the event.

Turning 16 in March this year, Zac is dedicated to the sport he loves, spending hours each week viewing video's of the races he has driven in (to pick up any faults), as well as studying the form of upcoming drives.

Employed by the Susan Hunter/Michael Doltoff barn in Melton, Zac has been in keen demand (State wide) in recent times and provided he remains stable, should continue on the rise with a big future ahead of him.
