November 23, 2016 – Today’s harness racing Quinte+ Grand National du Trot Paris-Turf (purse €90,000, 2850 meters distance handicap, 18 starters), Gr, III) was at Mauquenchy with the 1.13.7kr victory to 7.9/1 Bolide Jenilou (5g Kesaco Phedo-Medodie Jenilou).
The one benefitted from no distance penalty. Anthony Barrier teamed the winner for owner Jean-Paul Masselin.
7/10 favorite Bugsy Malone (5g Ready Cash-Night Captain) rallied for Yoann Lebourgeois to nearly overcome his 25 handicap (timed in 1.13.2kr). Philippe Allaire is trainer/owner. Third was 21/1 Vanille du Dollar (7f Magnificent Rodney-Magalie du Dollar) with Franck Nivard up for trainer Sylvain Roger, timed in 1.13.2kr over the 2875 meters she traveled. Swedishman (handicapped 50 meters)and Al Capone Jet were fourth and fifth.
Also at Mauquenchy, Franck Nivard teamed two winners. 4.9/1 West Wing (8g Steinlager-Westgate) won the Prix Paris Normandie (purse €26,000, 2850 meters, 14 European starters) for trainer Johan Untersteiner and Stall Victory HB timed in 1.15.8kr. Nivard also won the Prix du Conseil Department de Seine-Maritime (purse €30,000, 2800 meters, 16 European entrants) with the 2.3/1 and 1.15.7kr timed Tout Va Bien (9g Ingen-La Lolita) for breeder/owner/trainer Bernard Kernivinen.
On November 22 at Paris-Vincennes was the Prix Ostara (purse €55,000, 2850 meters 13 starters) and the 1.13.6kr winner was 27.5/1 Belly Dance (5f Prodigious-Doina). Julian Dubois piloted the Ecurie Etoile owned mare that Jean-Philippe Dubois trains. Bedega Cheneviere was second.
The Prix Polyxo B (purse €33,000, 2200 meters, 14 starters) for two year-olds went to 4.9/1 Extreme Vrie (2f Village Mystic-Roseraie Vrie). Breeder/owner/trained served as the pilot this day. 16/1 Extasia Bella (2f Prodigious-Rare Perle) held second for Alexandre Abrivard and trainer L.Cl. Abrivard. Third was 2.9/1 Eternoity du Belver (2f Coktail Jet-Sindy de la Noe)
Racing continues at Vincennes on November 24 featuring the €95,000 purse Prix de L’Ile de Re, a monte event over 2850 meters with 19 expected starters. Nephenta Lux, The Tiger and Art On Line are among the entrants.
