Dressedforthedance prevailed convincingly in the Battle of Saratoga #1 series harness racing final on Friday night (October 19) at Saratoga. The Melissa Beckwith trained pacer swept her two legs of the series and wound up as the public's 4-5 favorite in the final. Dressedforthedance (Wally Hennessey) moved to the lead at the half and drew away late to record a 1:54.2 career best win in the $31,200 final for fillies and mares.

Shes Lovin It (Billy Dobson) held second while Mystical Terror (Stephane Bouchard) came on for third.

The evening also featured win number 4,000 in the driving career of Bruce Aldrich Jr.

The veteran reinsman piloted a pair of winners on the card for trainer Joe DeCarlo including victory number 4,000 with trotter N And R Becool.

Aldrich currently sits in sixth in the driver standings for the 2012 season at the Spa.

Live racing continues on Saturday night when the $33,800 Battle of Saratoga #2 final will be featured on the thirteen race card. First post time is set for 7:05pm.
