SUMMERSIDE, PE - An overwhelming first-over brush sealed the deal for Bugsy Maguire in the Monday afternoon featured pace on a special Labour Day harness racing program at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway.

Jason Hughes hustled the Wade Sorrie trained Bugsy Maguire from post 7 in the $2,900 preferred pace and dropped in fourth at the start while Dangle Ona Dime (Driven By Corey MacPherson) cut out splits of 27.4 and 57.1. Bugsy Maguire then began his advance on the outside first-over and touched down past the three-quarters of 1:26.4 then kicked to clear to win by three-and-half lengths in 1:55.3.

Nogreatmischief (Walter Cheverie) drove into second with Heartland Eclipse (Darren Crowe) finishing third. Walter Simmons of Summerside owns Bugsy Maguire.

Crowe scored a pair of wins on the card for the Truro, N.S., based Dawn Ellis Abbott stable.

Doctor Royal scored in the finale for the duo as a popular winner in 1:57.4 while Nomatterwhen was a 1:59.4 victor. For race replays and complete results go to
