DOVER, Del. — It was another big Monday for Corey Callahan. The six consecutive meet leading-driver at Dover Downs made the winners-circle seven-times on March 9. One of the wins came guiding Spin Vision to her fifth straight win in the $14,000 3,4&5-Year-Old Winners-Over Filly and Mare pace.
Spin Vision enjoyed a perfect 2-hole trip behind McArma and Vic Kirby cutting out the early fractions. Callahan. McArma held on for second with Yanklet Hanover (Tony Morgan) closing fast for third. Spin Vision, the only three-year-old in the race, is a complete Louthan product. No Spin Zone is the stallion. David's Art is the dam. She has now won eight of 16 races with four seconds and earnings of $72,345.
Callahan also drove public-choice Chris White's Fashion Showdown to victory in 1:54.2 in another $14,000 female co-feature. It was the Village Jolt – Catch The Show mare's third win in her last five starts. Megginspin (Allan Davis) was second with Hit By Lightning (Trace Tetrick) third.
Valerya, who had traffic trouble last start, uncorked a 1:52.3 front-pacing victory in a $13,000 Mares Winners-Over edition. Jonathan Roberts was at the controls for trainer Trish Foulk and Foulk Stables giving the Dream Away-Veneer seven-year-old her fifth win of the season in seven starts with two seconds. She won for the 18th time in her career banking $126,537 lifetime. Jeremes Sweetheart (Kirby) was a game second in front of Springforth (George Dennis).
In addition to Callahan's seven winning drives, Jim Morand, Jonathan Roberts and trainer Trish Foulk and Foulk Stables also had doubles.
Bettor And Bold, last week's winner, takes on Just Bettor and PL Hoofhearted in the Tuesday $20,000-$25,000 Claiming/Handicap feature race.
Monday through Thursday racing starts at 4:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday are "dark" days. Sunday post time is 5:30 p.m.
