WASHINGTON, PA, June 25, 2019 — Call For Justice launched a relentless uncovered bid down the backside and wore down Chef Lee in deep stretch to capture Tuesday's harness racing co-feature at The Meadows, an $11,500 Conditioned Trot.
Call For Justice was fourth when Dave Palone sent him after Chef Lee. The 7-year-old son of Justice Hall-Mika's Mazurka gradually eroded the lead and downed Chef Lee by 1/2 length in 1:55.1. Lars Perry followed the winner's cover for show.
Ron Burke trains Call For Justice, who won his second straight and pushed his career bankroll to $581,757, for Burke Racing Stable.
In Tuesday's companion feature, an $11,500 Filly & Mare Conditioned Pace, even-money favorite Sanna Cruza A rolled to a front-end 1:52.3 victory for Tony Hall and trainer Randy Bendis, who owns with Pollack Racing. The 6-year-old daughter of Art Major-Weona Beach Girl extended her lifetime earnings to $130,027.
Mike Wilder piloted three winners on the 13-race card.
Live racing at The Meadows continues Wednesday, first post 1:05 PM.
