Histoire Eternelle has been razor this season at the Hippodrome 3R and the four-year-old mare goes for her third straight win in the feature pace this Sunday.

Trained by Eric Valiquette and driven by Marie Claude Auger, Histoire Eternelle starts from post five in the fifth race feature pace. The daughter of Shanghai Phil is the 5/2 morning line favorite and in her last two starts she has shown not the ability to win from on or off the pace, but has added some speed to her game.

Last week Histoire Eternelle led from start to finish and scored with ease by three and one-half lengths in a lifetime best record of 1:54.4 for owner/breeder Guy Corbell of Mirabel, QC.

Her main competition will come from Cevina De Chakrike (post four) and Shanghai Mimi (post five).

In the sixth race trotting feature, last year’s Quebec Sire Stakes champion two-year-old, Maximuscle, is seeking a return trip to the winner’s circle. He is also trained by Eric Valiquette.

Last year the son of Angus Hall was top notch with five wins in seven starts and earnings of $45,724 for owner/breeder Ecurie Provoquarite of Mirabel, QC with a race record of 1:58.1.

In just his second start back this year for driver Mario Charron, Maximuscle led from start to finish with a one and one-half length score in 2:00.4.

He will face a stiff challenge from Force Naturelle in post eight for trainer/driver Simon Delisle. Last week Force Naturelle, despite being forced inside the pylons in seventh place at the half mile, rallied on the outside to win in a romp by four and one-quarter lengths in a lifetime best 1:59.4.

Post time Sunday at the Hippodrome 3R is 1:00 pm. For more information visit their website at
