"The "Captain" is around two weeks away from qualifying," said a jubilant Myron Bell, manager of the Captaintreacherous Syndication after he watched his two-time Pacer of the Year work out at Gaitway Farm in New Jersey Friday morning.

"Tony (Alagna) took him on the track this morning around 7:30 am and he looked magnificent." Bell said. "He trained him in around 1:53 and afterwards said that he is in such good shape and ready to race."

Bell said that he expects Captaintreacherous to qualify at the Meadowlands the first week or so in May and then get ready for his 2014 campaign.

"I am just so pleased with the way that Tony has brough him back for this year," Bell said. "He looks super, is training super and we are looking forward to having another great season with him. And I know that his many racing fans are also looking forward to watching him race against the best horses in the nation all season long."

The "Captain" first major stakes engagement of the year will be the June 13 Meadowlands Maturity.
